This is a smooth, floral grappa made from our zinfandel and sangiovese grape skins. When the grapes are gently pressed after fermentation, the juice off the press goes into barrel to become wine, but there is still a lot of alcohol and flavor on the skins. These skins are taken to our sister distillery Barber Lee Spirits, mixed with water, and double distilled in our custom copper pot still to create this delicious after dinner spirit. It is bright, bracing, aromatic and wonderful. From the soil to the spirit: we might be one of the only makers on earth who grow the grapes, make the wine, and distill their own grappa from their estate grape skins! 375ml, 40% alcohol
